The history of the ethylotest

Posted by alexreese 103 days ago
The history of the ethylotest starts in 1938, with the development of the first device that measured the blood to breath ratio. Thus, the ethylotest came to replace the expensive and time-consuming blood or urine tests and has been used ever since to measure the blood alcohol content. Of course, it goes without saying that the ethylotest has suffered many changes throughout the years, in the attempt to make it as accurate and reliable as possible. One of the main features thanks to which the ethylotest has become so popular is its portability: seeing how convenient, easy to use and accurate it is, police departments started to employ it in order to detect drivers that got behind the wheels, although they exceeded the legal alcohol limit. Currently, the ethylotest is not used only by law enforcement officers, but also by medical staff and drivers who want to know whether it is safe to get behind the wheels or whether it would be better to call a taxi instead.
